Would you like to have a say in the running of Disley village and contribute to the well-being of the community in Disley and Newtown?

Disley Parish Council need people from all backgrounds – all you need is the enthusiasm and a little spare time to help shape the future of Disley and Newtown.

We have a monthly council meeting at the Community Centre to discuss Disley and Newtown matters, make decisions on village facilities and ways in which we can improve health and wellbeing in the community.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: To be a Councillor you must be:

• A British, Commonwealth or EU citizen.
• Aged 18 years or over.
• In one of the following categories:

1. appear on the Electoral Register for the parish,
2. have lived in (or within 3 miles of) the parish for at least a year.
3. have had your main place of work within the parish for at least a year.
