This guided walk is open to all without charge – but walkers & guests are expected to take full responsibility for their own well being, appropriate clothing, footwear and water supply, especially as the hot, dry weather is likely to continue.

Shutlingsloe – the Cheshire Matterhorn
Wednesday 18th July
Meet in Disley Station Approach at 9.30 am to share
cars to Wildboarclough.
From the car park at Clough House Farm
(GR. SJ9874069877, postcode SK11 0BD) the route goes
to Banktop and then up to Shutlingsloe coming down via
Macclesfield Forest, Standing Stone and Broughspace.
It is possible to drop out between Standing Stone and
Broughsplace and walk back down the valley by road to
Clough House. Otherwise carry on to Torgate Farm,
Chest Hollow and the Cat and Fiddle. From there the
route goes back to Clough House Farm via Cumberland
Brook.
In total the walk is 6.8 miles with two long climbs.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear and bring a
packed lunch.
If the current hot weather continues, a hat, sun cream
and water are essential.
