2017 OPEN GARDENS SCHEME
The British Red Cross has contacted the Parish Council recently to see if residents would like to help raise funds for the Red Cross by taking part in their annual Open Gardens Scheme.
The 2016 programme was a huge success and the money raised allowed the British Red Cross to continue to provide vital services to help and support vulnerable people in crisis; responding to natural disasters, conflicts and individual emergencies.
The Red Cross believe that gardens in Disley can offer inspiration to new and accomplished gardeners and visitors and they are keen to add Disley gardens to the open garden list for 2017. By opening your garden, on a day that suits you in Spring/Summer 2017, you will help raise much needed funds for the British Red Cross – nothing could be more rewarding and more gratefully received. You’ll get to show off your garden and meet like-minded gardeners at the same time!
This garden event is also a fantastic opportunity to bring your friends, family and your local community together as well as helping to raise the essential funds needed to support the local services run by the British Red Cross. They ask that all proceeds be made directly to the British Red Cross to help support the local services which they run across Cheshire.
If you are interested in hosting your own garden event, please email Jen at email@example.com or Kerry at firstname.lastname@example.org to request a registration form. The registration form must be completed and sent back to the British Red Cross by Monday 9th January 2017 (deadline may be extended) in order to register for this event.
